Tool Tracker Advanced
Designed for error proofing & controlling fastening tools via either PLC or the Tools Controller. Tool Tracker Advanced allows for multiple tools to be used in one work cell, and track on either a static or moving part. Details such as the approach angle a tool takes to the fastener can also be controlled to avoid cross threading or other mishaps. Tool Tracker Advanced is easily taught by simply placing the tool (with affixed targets) where you want a fastening event, then clicking a mouse to create the work zone, this is repeated for each position in the sequence. When you’re working, the PLC enables or disables the tool depending on if the tool is in the correct work zone or not.
Tracking Moving Parts
The ability to track either static or moving parts makes the Tool Tracker Advanced an ideal choice for continuous or near continuous operations.
Poka-yoke/ Mistake Proofing
Tool Tracker when coupled with a PLC creates an in process poka-yoke system. Enabling the tool only when in the correct zone ensures the operator completes the work in the correct sequence.
Assisting Operators
Tracking the tool’s approach angle to the fastener, helps avoid costly cross threading. The approach angle is an adjustable variable to meet for your needs.
Freedom of Motion
Fixed image modules do the tracking with no physical connection to the tool. The target array on the tool allows for 6 degrees of motion.
